Biography

He possesses an interdisciplinary academic background, including studies in Mechanical Engineering and Management, a Master’s in Administration, a PhD in Education, and a Postdoctorate in Applied Science and Technology. This training has enabled him to integrate technical, managerial, and humanistic approaches into public management, education, and science communication processes.

He currently serves as Deputy Director of Science Communication at the Potosino Council for Science and Technology (COPOCYT). In this role, he coordinates state-wide strategies for science communication and the promotion of STEM vocations. Within this framework, he is responsible for the dissemination of calls and international cooperation programmes supported by the British Council and the UK’s Newton Fund, as well as initiatives promoted by the embassies of France, Canada, and the United States, facilitating access to international collaboration opportunities for the academic community and the general public.

In the academic field, he has served as a postgraduate professor, coordinator of various programmes, and thesis supervisor at several higher education institutions. Furthermore, he has collaborated as a speaker and organiser of national and international conferences on science communication, innovation, and technological development, in coordination with universities, science councils, and outreach networks across Latin America.

In parallel, he maintains an active link with British culture through his involvement in initiatives related to the Mini, an icon of United Kingdom engineering. He has collaborated in the organisation of national and international classic and collector car events, promoting their historical, educational, and cultural value as part of industrial and social heritage.

Committed to public service, education, and culture, he has driven inclusive outreach projects, philanthropy, and community strengthening. His work contributes to positioning San Luis Potosí as a regional benchmark in science, education, and cultural promotion with international projection.

He has an extensive track record in the design, implementation, and evaluation of STEM education and executive training programmes, aimed at diverse audiences ranging from primary school students to professionals and decision-makers.

He has developed and delivered courses, workshops, and postgraduate diplomas in science communication, innovation, applied science, and technological development, in collaboration with universities, science and technology councils, and public bodies at state, national, and international levels. His educational work is characterised by a focus on the social appropriation of knowledge, inclusion, and capacity building for informed decision-making.

As a speaker, he has frequently participated in national and international conferences and forums, addressing topics such as science communication, STEM education, social innovation, and the link between science and society. These participations have taken place within the framework of academic and governmental meetings, as well as specialised networks throughout Latin America.

In the academic sphere, he has served as a supervisor for both undergraduate and postgraduate theses, as well as an evaluator of educational programmes and projects. Through these roles, he has contributed to the development of human capital in strategic areas of engineering, management, and science education.

His experience in the business sector, particularly in administration, logistics, and general management, has enabled him to integrate a business perspective into educational processes, strengthening the links between academia, the productive sector, and public policy.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Management, followed by further studies in Business Administration, complemented by a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He subsequently earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree, strengthening his profile in curriculum design, educational management, and human capital development. Furthermore, he completed a Post-Doctorate in Applied Science and Technology, focusing on the integration of scientific knowledge with innovation and development processes.
